Accidents and Incidents
From the West Wales Guardian of Friday 14th November 1930:
Two new trawlers have arrived to augment the local fleet. Mr. Stanley Laycock (David Pettit, Ltd.) has purchased the steam trawler "Aracari" of Aberdeen. She is 120 feet long, and arrived at the later part of last week, and is already working. Messrs. Peter Hancock and Sons have also added to their fleet a steam trawler from Grimsby. Negotiations are on foot for other trawlers. We mention this merely to allay the anxiety of nervous friends who are concerned about the future of fishing.

From an unknown local newspaper dated 7th April 1938:
Messrs. Pettit and Youds, owners of the s.t. 'Aracari', skipper W. Parry, on Tuesday received news that the vessel was being towed home from the westward fishing grounds by the Milford trawler 'Caldy', skipper J. Binham. The nature of the trouble has not yet been ascertained, but the trawlers are expected to reach port today.
