Accidents and Incidents:
From the Haverfordwest & Milford Haven Telegraph of Wednesday 7th February 1906:
On Thursday morning at about five o’clock, the steam drifter “Shamrock”, (Skipper Taylor, senior), went on the rocks at Pennyholt Stack during dense fog. The crew of seven hands launched the small boat and pulled along the coast until a suitable landing place was found at Broad Haven. The crew went to the farm house of Mr. Thomas, Trevellan farm, where they were treated to great hospitality. They were then dispatched home to Milford Haven by the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Association. The “Shamrock” had about 8 tons of fish in her fish room, which was the best catch by her for six months. She was owned by Messrs. Sellick, Morley & Price Co., and is likely to become a total wreck.
