Sep 1939: Requisitioned by the South Africa Navy and converted to a minesweeper, as HMSAS RICHARD BENNETT. 1x12pdr/4in.  Complement 20. May 1940: Returned to owners. [Fate unknown, but possibly sunk as target practice.  Still on 1945 Lloyd's Register with same owners.]
